The MAT Life Skills program is for children aged 8 - 12 years who have a parent with mental health issues, including children who do not live with their parents.
The MAT program is a physically active therapeutic program with a focus on four values: Be strong, be calm, be kind, and try hard. It combines the principles of mental wellbeing and emotional literacy with those of traditional martial art training techniques.
This program will run for 8 weeks in term 3.
When: Every Tuesday 31st July-18th September 2018
Where: Link Health and Community, 9-15 Cooke St, Clayton, VIC 3168.
Cost: FREE!
The program will be facilitated by The MAT program and the FaPMI program (Families where a parent has a mental illness) at Monash Health.
