CHP will deliver “Improving Access to the NDIS training for People Experiencing Homelessness” across Victoria over the coming months, providing front line homelessness practitioners with the skills and knowledge to improve the access of their clients to the NDIS.
Content for the sessions will be drawn from the “Homelessness and the National Disability Insurance Scheme: Challenges and solutions” report available on the Council to Homeless Persons website.
The "Improving Access to the NDIS for People Experiencing Homelessness" training aims to provide participants with knowledge and skills to: • Improve access to NDIS for people experiencing homelessness
• Increase confidence of staff from organisations working with people experiencing homelessness to determine eligibility and provide better access to the NDIS • Support the development of more effective intake and assessment procedures to identify potential NDIS participants. The presenters will include Kate Paterson from KEP Consultancy Services, National Disability Insurance Scheme LAC Partners and practice expert in relation to the NDIS and homelessness.
